SNC HISTORY
SNC Industry Company Limited is a family-run business, based in Thailand. Established in 1957 by two brothers, it manufactured wicks and fishing yarn. Over the years, the product range has been extended and developed. Now yarn is produced for the many industrial uses. Its current business focuses mainly on sewing threads for industrial uses especially in medium and heavy (non-clothing) sewing operations such as footwear, leather goods, mattresses, upholstery, canvas goods, commodity packaging and storing (eg. rice, flour, sugar) and construction items etc.
Since 1982, the company has had the support of the Board of Investment of Thailand with a view to manufacture yarn and thread for textile and industrial uses. At present, the firm has a sale proportion of domestic and export sales of forty and sixty per cent respectively. Its international markets are scattered around the world.
As a consequence of the continual growth into international markets, the issue of the standard of quality has played an increasing role in the industry. In order for the company to gain a better reputation for its products, quality improvement needs to be achieved. Hence, the company is currently granted ISO 9002 certification.
